Terms & Conditions

Insuranceyou are required to insure the contents of your store on an all risks basis & advise your insurers where the items are being stored. Beaumont Self Storage Ltd accepts no liability for any damage to the contents of the store

Hours of access Access is from 6am to 10pm 7 days per week

You will be provided with a key card which you tap & enter your 4 digit PIN followed by # to release the door. For security reasons please do not label or write on your key card

If you lose your card there is a £10 charge for a replacement

Parking is only permitted on site whilst accessing your store

CCTV cameras are in operation for security purposes

Termination – either party may terminate this agreement by giving a full calendar months notice in writing/by e-mail

Your right to occupy – we permit you but no other person to use the store in accordance with these terms & conditions from the commencement date until this agreement is terminated. You are not permitted to sublet or charge for use of any part of the store.

Inspection – You must inspect the store before storing any goods and inform us if you believe it is damaged otherwise you will be deemed to have accepted that it is in good condition

Access to the store – You are responsible for providing a padlock and ensuring the store is locked

We may break the lock & enter the store at any time without notifying you if:

  1. we believe that the store contains prohibited items or is being used in a breach of these terms & conditions
  2. we are required to do so by the Police, Fire Services, States Department or Court Order
  3. we believe it to be necessary in an emergency or to prevent damage to persons/property

Use of the store – you warrant that the goods you are storing in the store are your own property or the person who owns or has an interest in them has given you authority to store them in the store

You may only use the store for storage and not for any other purpose

You must not store or permit to be stored in the storage unit any of the following:

  1. Food or perishable goods
  2. Birds, fish, animals or any other living creatures
  3. Illegal goods or cash
  4. Combustible or flammable materials or liquids such as paint, petrol, oil or cleaning solvents
  5. Explosives, firearms/weapons, ammunitions
  6. Pollutants, toxic/hazardous waste, asbestos
  7. Chemicals, radioactive materials, biological agents
  8. Compressed gases
  9. Any item that emits any fumes, smells or odours

You must not use the store as offices, living accommodation or a workshop

You must not attach anything to the walls, ceiling, floor or doors of the store or make any alteration to the store

You must not cause any damage to the store or the Company’s site & will be required to repair or refund the cost of repair of any such damage caused

Bulk liquids & items over 500kg must not be stored on the 1st floor of Unit 3.

Permission must be obtained for any racking used on the 1st floor of Unit 3 as spreader plates must be used under the legs      

All items must be stored in the store & not stored on top or outside the store

Waste/rubbish must not be dumped outside the store or left on the Company’s site

Use of the lift – no goods are to travel at any time in the lift unoccupied. No goods longer than 2m in height are allowed in the lift. There is a weight restriction of 500kg. Items are not to be leant against the sides of the platform lift. You will be liable for any costs incurred from damage caused to lift.

Termination – either party may terminate this agreement by giving a full calendar month notice in writing/by e-mail. We may terminate this agreement immediately by giving you written notice if you are in breach of any term of this agreement

Rental increases – we will advise you in writing of any rental increases & provide you with 4 weeks’ notice

Non-payment of rental – if you do not pay the rental within 7 days of the Due date we may exclude you from the store by installing a new lock. If any part of the rental is outstanding one month after the Due date we may give you written notice that if you have not paid all outstanding amounts within 3 days then we may remove all the goods from the store dispose of them or sell the goods on your behalf, passing good title to them & use the proceeds to discharge any outstanding rentals or other charges
